Approximately 27.4% of the population in Africa was classified as severely food insecure in 2016, which is almost four times
as high as any other region. Acute food insecurity in Africa has increased by over 60 % in the past year and threatens to
widen further. In addition, more than 45 % of the population still lives on less than $1.25 a day.
Food insecurity exists in most counties across the United States, from the poorest neighborhoods to the most affluent.
With 13% of the population in Georgia being food insecure, this means that some families are unable to provide enough
food for themselves and their families. Whether through having access to nutritious food or the ability to afford it many
families are faced with the harsh reality of where they’re next meal will come from. Donate Today!!
